Meet the Madame Surtô family, a home of traveling souls

We are the Madame Surtô family, we travel the world looking for treasures!

Our story began when we still lived in Florida, USA. We traveled everywhere with our motorhome, in and out of markets, cities, villages, garage sales, museums... and that's how we discovered the vintage world! We became passionate collectors, looking for things primarily for ourselves, and as the collection grew, so did our desire to have a space where we could put together an extraordinary gallery of things! In 2019 we found our place in Portugal, the family's homeland, and even before having everything set up we crossed the sea with a dream! (and a container loaded with things that needed to be seen by the world). That's how "Madame" has gone crazy (Surtou, in brazilian portuguese. Surtô is our own way of saying it), all the family freaked out about vintage, and decided to create a place that surpassed the physical limits of space-time, an entire world in one place! Madame Surtô is a store where everyone is invited to FREAK OUT, SMILE, GO CRAZY, TALK, LIVE, CONSUME IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY, and last but not least:

CHANGE HABITS TO CHANGE THE WORLD!

Our planet can no longer support current consumption habits, the mass production of textile items, the waste of resources, much less the mass replacement of products with planned obsolescence!

Becoming a fan of second-hand fashion means being aware that there is no plan B, no planet B.
